I love to read and write and always wanted to have a platform where I can share my thoughts on books. Since this is my first post I really need you people to support my effort by giving yours valuable opinion.
Today I am going to give a review on a book called the woman in the window by a j finn. This book was release on last year and become very successful by readers. Though its get some mixed reactions by some readers and some professional reviewers. This is a thriller and its my the most favorite genres so I give it a try. So this is a story about Anna Fox who is suffering from agoraphobia and that means she cannot step outside her house. Who doesn't
know what agoraphobia is, it is a anxiety disorder where people cannot get outside world or open spaces, and stops themselves to being outside their home. In this story the protagonist cannot leave her house and whenever she does she gets a panic attack. So she keeps her inside. To past the time she do so many things like watching black and white movies, playing chess on her computer, but the most interesting thing is she love to watch her neighbors throw her window. Its like a interaction of her with the outside world. One day a family moves to her neighborhood which takes her interest even more. But one evening she herd a scream from that house and witness a murder from her window. Now she is trying to tell all people what is happen that house but no one believe her because of the medicine she takes and her drinking habit makes her hallucinating some times. Even police found the person who she is claiming being murdered is still alive. So now question is, if that person is still alive then what did she witness that evening. Does she really lost her mind or something very wrong going on across the street at that house? Now if you ask me I really enjoy this book. The way author describe Anna foxs daily life her suffering, its touched me very much. The main problem is she cannot leave her house to prove herself and somebody lurking stoneware that house. We see so many twists in this story but the ending is just unpredictable. One thing is only bad about this book is its length. It could have a little bit shorter. But also we have to remember that this is author’s first book. So I am giving it a four star out of five.
